he School of Engineering & Technology aims to nurture technically sound, socially responsible engineers who will evolve into innovators and entrepreneurs capable of delivering outstanding solutions. The innovative BTech programmes will appeal to students who wish to be a part of a community of ‘thinkers’ and ‘doers’, who have an aptitude for engineering applications, are interested in research and want to make a difference to the world.

The School of Engineering & Technology offers the following six undergraduate programmes:

Programme Structure

The 4-year BTech programme structure comprises 12 foundation, 15 core, 9 elective, 7 skill and 6 perspective courses.

Foundation Course

The foundation courses will ensure students have the root knowledge and skills required for making a success of the BTech programme. The courses include mathematics, physics, engineering chemistry, environmental studies, language and workshop practice.

Core Courses

The BTech programme content has been designed to ensure that students have a rigorous and comprehensive grounding in engineering theory and practice.

Elective Courses

Elective courses will provide BTech students with the opportunity to specialize in an area of particular interest and to explore new horizons in related or diverse disciplines.

Skill Courses

The BTech course at BMU will arm students with knowledge and a range of life skills such as conversational skills, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution skills. This will ensure that they graduate with the confidence and experience to tackle challenges in the workplace from day one.Perspective CoursesCourses such as world civilizations, living literature, and good citizenry will open the minds of BTech students to new perspectives, help them look at issues in the right context, and deepen and broaden their understanding of the world at large.
